The message was bold elegance at Yves Saint Laurent's Fall 2012 runway show. Models were wrapped in fitted thick wool and leather outerwear. The black, cream, and emerald color palette was topped off with a rouge lip, which seemed to embody the modern YSL woman. It was Creative Director Stefano Pilati's final collection for the house. Although it's sad to see him go, we're excited for what's to come for YSL.
For Fall 2012, Lanvin showcased bold designs with varied textures and silhouettes. The show began with a technicolor moment of eight sleek rainbow looks, followed by dark tones and rich fabrics. There were plenty of classic shapes such as the trench, but also included newer pieces such as cropped quilted jackets, tees paired with ruffle tiered skirts, and a subtle military undertone peppered throughout the collection.
