We've previously expressed to you our love of Christian Louboutin so it's no surprise that we were completely overjoyed when our friends at Net-A-Porter sent to us the latest Barbie by Christian Louboutin, Dolly Forever!
This second Barbie in the series designed by the famed shoe artist features fuchsia fringed over-the-knee boots along with three additional pairs of heels (the stilettos even have the legendary Louboutin red soles), each with a box and shoe bag. And rather than the traditional blond hair and blue eyes, this limited edition Louboutin Barbie has brilliant red hair and sharp green eyes. She's certainly a lady (or rather, a doll) who knows what she likes, and clearly she likes Christian Louboutin shoes. So do we.

As I'm currently experiencing Winter Shoe Doldrums and desiring to slide my feet into some fabulous spring footwear, I did some investigating on, in my opinion, a very fun and festive shoe designer ~ Giuseppe Zanotti. "Mixing fantasy and business pragmatism, style and technique, values and quality," this shoemaker knows how to create imaginative yet wearable designs.

While we're in the lovin' mood with Valentine's Day quickly approaching, we thought we'd share with you one of our great loves ~ Christian Louboutin.
How can one not love a designer who sites as his inspiration the tendency to sneak out of school to watch showgirls in Paris nightclubs because he was captivated by their costumes? And his signature style of creating red-soled sexy stilettos is something we can't seem to get enough of.

Tribute to McQueen

Very sad news today that Alexander McQueen passed away ~ the loss is felt by many. McQueen had a way of taking creative whimsy, passionate impulse, and finely-tuned tailoring to a level of wearable art. This artist will truly be missed.
